Ukhrul, October 1: The Naga Students’ Union Bangalore (NSUB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bangalore Baptist Hospital (BBH) to provide concessional healthcare services to Nagas living in the city.
The agreement, signed on Tuesday morning at BBH, will allow members of the Naga community to avail up to 30 per cent concession on outpatient, inpatient and other hospital services. Those from economically weaker or special backgrounds will be eligible for higher concessions.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Spurgeon R, Director and CEO of BBH, and NSUB president Nungsangmongla Ozukum. The signing was witnessed by Davidson D, Senior Associate (Operations and Service Promotion), BBH; Chaplain Onenlemla Imsong of BBH; Tsivyo Kasom, Advisor to NSUB; and representatives from the Ao community unit of the Union.

NSUB credited Chaplain Onenlemla Imsong for her role in paving the way for the collaboration through years of helping patients from weaker backgrounds. It also acknowledged the efforts of its president Nungsangmongla Ozukum, whose leadership, the Union said, made the initiative possible.
Describing the agreement as “more than a discount,” NSUB said it was a vital support for Nagas in Bengaluru who struggle to access affordable healthcare. The Union has urged the community to make use of the facility and spread awareness so that more people can benefit.
