Kohima, Sept. 19: The Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) has announced the selection of 36 talented wrestlers to represent the state in the upcoming 12th All India Traditional Wrestling & Pankration Federation (AITWPF) National Traditional Wrestling & Pankration Championship 2024. The championship is scheduled to take place in Dehradun from October 3 to 6, 2024.
The selection camp, held today at the IG Stadium’s Multi-Purpose Hall “B,” saw participation from a total of 61 wrestlers representing the three affiliated units of the NWA in the day-long selection trial camp.

Men Senior Belt & Mas Wrestling:
- +100 Kg: 1st place by Menuosetuo Yiese, 2nd place by Rukukhoto Khusoh.
- 100 Kg: 1st place by Venuzo Dawhuo, 2nd place by Thepfuvilie Neikha.
- 90 Kg: 1st place by Hülüyi D. Vadeo, 2nd place by Vevokho Ruho.
- 80 Kg: 1st place by Kuvenu Puro, 2nd place by Seyiejalie Gwirie (Only Belt).
- 71 Kg: 1st place by Kuluvezo Soho, 2nd place by Rokuokehie Khawakhrie (Only Belt).
- 65 Kg: 1st place by Lhupra Vero, 2nd place by Neikhotuo Keditsu.
- 59 Kg: 1st place by Wezutsho Venuh, 2nd place by Nelhouvituo Suohumvü.
- 54 Kg: 1st place by Kezevikho Sachü, 2nd place by Vichülhoutuo Rhetso.
- 49 Kg: 1st place by Tsuveto Resuh, 2nd place by Zhovi Kehie.
- 45 Kg: 1st place by Pude Hesuh.
Men Senior Mas Wrestling Only:
- 80 Kg: 1st place by Zhopao Movi.
- 71 Kg: 1st place by Bisekhoto Gwirie.
Senior Women Belt & Mas Wrestling:
- +70 Kg: 1st place by Vikehenuo Zümvü, 2nd place by Thejaneinuo Thevo.
- 70 Kg: 1st place by Haizeuyile.
- 63 Kg: 1st place by Thujosulü Tetseo, 2nd place by Vetavolü Puyo-o.
- 56 Kg: 1st place by Vekhonielü Cürha, 2nd place by Vizoneino Keditsu.
- 50 Kg: 1st place by Megolhoukhonuo Thevo, 2nd place by Nosezono Kuotsu.
Men Cadet Belt Wrestling:
- 71 Kg: 1st place by Nubasa Rhakho.
- 66 Kg: 1st place by Mulukhro Nakro, 2nd place by Mulubi Dzudo.
- 59 Kg: 1st place by Kevilekho Peki, 2nd place by Peramreudibo Hegwang.
- 54 Kg: 1st place by Thepfukedo Kimho.
Women Cadet Belt Wrestling:
- 70 Kg: 1st place by Khrielhounuo Thevo.
- 45 Kg: 1st place by Kulungolu Nakro.
Following the selection, a coaching camp for the selected wrestlers will commence at the IG Stadium from September 25. All selected athletes are encouraged to attend the camp to prepare for the upcoming national championship.
