In a world that sometimes seems increasingly divided along various lines – be it cultural, religious, or political – it is crucial to remind ourselves of the importance of unity and the spirit of nationalism. Tetso College, with its unwavering commitment to promoting holistic education, played a pivotal role in fostering this sense of unity among its students.

“Rashtriya Ekta Diwas”, celebrated on October 31st each year to mark the birth anniversary of the “Iron Man of India,” Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, stands as a beacon of inspiration for all of us. Sardar Patel, with his unwavering dedication to the idea of a united India, played a significant role in the integration of over 562 princely states into a single nation after gaining independence. His vision and tireless efforts to unite the nation serve as a powerful reminder of the importance of staying together, especially in today’s complex and diverse world.

On this occasion, we gathered with a sense of purpose and determination to reaffirm our commitment to preserving the unity, integrity, and security of our beloved motherland. The presence of the Tricolor, our national flag, instilled a sense of pride in us that is difficult to put into words. The Tiranga, with its three colours symbolizing different aspects of our nation, represents the diversity and unity that defines India. As we gazed upon it, we were reminded of the sacrifices made by countless individuals who fought for our freedom and the principles enshrined in our Constitution.

The highlight of the event was when we collectively recited the pledge to preserve and defend the unity, integrity, and security of our nation. It was not just words; it was a solemn oath taken by all of us to uphold the values that make our nation strong and resilient. We pledged to stand by the principles of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity, as enshrined in the Preamble of our Constitution. The power of unity and the spirit of nationalism were tangible in that moment, and it binds us all with a common cause.

The encouragement and support from the Tetso College management were the driving force behind this program. Their unwavering belief in the power of education to shape responsible, law abiding, proud and successful Indian citizens played a significant role in the success of “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas”. It was their vision that enabled us to come together as one and celebrate our nation’s diversity and unity in the spirit of brotherhood.

In a world where divisions can sometimes seem insurmountable, the celebration of “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas” in Tetso College served as a reminder that we are all one under one Flag, one Nation and one Constitution. It was a day that reinforced the idea that we may come from diverse backgrounds, but when we unite under the banner of our nation, we are invincible.

What made this celebration truly unique was the realization that even though we carried our beloved Tricolour flag in our hands, the “Tiranga” resides not only in a piece of cloth but in our hearts and minds. We carried the Tricolor within us, and it was our collective responsibility to protect and defend the unity and integrity it represents.
