Pherzawl: Over 80 houses have been badly affected as Pherzawl district of Manipur reeling under floods.
Reports said that major rivers in the Vangai range area of Pherzawl district overflowed due to the incessant rains that lashed across the state in the last few days.
Hundreds of people were rendered homeless after over 80 houses in the area have been badly affected by flood water, according to the reports.
On June 20, the Pherzawl district administration had sounded flood alert in the district after assessing the rising level of the major rivers flowing in the district.

The incessant rains that lashed in the last few days wreaking havoc in various parts of the state, particularly in hill district where mudslides, landslides and floods occurred at various places.
Normal vehicular movement along NH-37 (Imphal-Jiribam road) remained disrupted due to landslides and rockslides at various places on the stretch of the highway.
Amid the hectic works to clear the debris to reopen the highway, a JCB engaging in the debris clearance work at Khongsang area along the highway in Tamenglong district skidded off the road, the reports also said.
