Terming their participation as reprehensible, the KHIPC stated that it was nothing but an egregious betrayal of the Kuki people’s trust and an insult to the memory of the 260 Kuki martyrs who sacrificed their lives at the hands of the Manipur state force and the Meitei community in the past three years.
The KHIPC, while questioning the integrity of the MLAs, stated that they have cavalierly compromised the dignity and aspirations of the Kuki community.

“Their actions are a travesty, a grievous affront to the sacrifices of our martyrs, and a flagrant disregard for the Kuki people’s inalienable right to justice and self-determination,” it said.
KHIPC reaffirms its unwavering commitment to the Kuki people and the public interest, standing resolute in its demand for a separate administration and the protection of Kuki history, identity, and rights.
