Former MP and NPF leader Lorho S. He noted that during the previous term, Manipur experienced significant growth and development, particularly with the arrival of the NDA government at the center.

The former MP stated that while the Chief Minister enjoyed the support of the majority Meitei community, the minority Kuki-Zo communities felt alienated and later charged him as partly responsible for the violence.
