Phek, Aug 24: The Phek District Badminton Association held a one-day veteran badminton tournament at the Krokulo Foundation Khelo India Centre in Pfutsero, Nagaland. Pfutsero, known as the highest altitude town in the state, welcomed around 80 veteran shuttlers competing across five categories. The top team from this event will go on to represent the district in the Nagaland Inter-District Badminton Tournament.

Former Planning Minister Neiba Kronu was the special guest at the inauguration. Kronu, who is also participating in the tournament, encouraged players to strive for excellence and maintain a healthy lifestyle. He emphasized the importance of strengthening friendships through sports and acknowledged the support of public leaders and well-wishers present at the event.

The program was chaired by Dr. Nutazo Lohe, President of the Phek District Badminton Association.
