PM Modi Lays Foundation Stone For Ekalavya Model School

PHERZAWL, NOVEMBER 15: The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi today laid the foundation stone for Ekalavya Model Residential School (EMRS) in Lawibual village, Pherzawl district through virtual mode.

The school is one of 35 EMRS foundation stones laid across the country as part of the 150th birth anniversary celebrations of Bhagwan Birsa Munda. The event was attended by Deputy Commissioner Mannuamching and other district officials, who joined the national observance through a live telecast at the Conference Hall of DC Office, Pherzawl. A similar programme was also organised at the school site in Lawibual village.

The Prime Minister also inaugurated 42 EMRS across the country. The EMRS in Pherzawl is expected to provide quality education to tribal students in the district. The foundation stone laying ceremony was part of the Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas celebrations, with public screenings of the Prime Minister’s address also held at Adi Sewa Kendra centres across  the  district.
