Highlighting that many asked about his decision of joining BJP party and its relation with religion, Chamroy said, in the Hindu land, they have RSS as they have their own religion too, like we have our own. But BJP is a political party that works for the nation, there is no doubt about it. The party ideology is “nation first, party second and self last,”
Speaking about the present health of the society, he said, “It seems our society is in a confused state. But I am not blaming anyone here. However, going by the present trends in almost all aspects including social, political, economic et al, it seems like our civil bodies (Longnao) and citizens (Ramnao-bing) are seen to be not living a dignified life; out of sync with the fast development, when compared with others,” Ningam Chamroy opined and underscored not to point fingers only at others as the problem could be because of one’s own ignorance, rather find out the causes and address it.
He continued that the Nagas have a political issue. And what we have is a political revolution. BJP is the party that has been engaging in the Naga political issue at centre. And the talk is being held at prime minister level.
