Union Law and Justice minister Kiren Rijiju reacted to a picture of a public toilet in Naharlagun daily market, Arunachal Pradesh, inaugurated by him in January 1, 2015. The facility, said to be constructed through his MP lad fund was allegedly used for a private pan shop.

The minister took to twitter and said, “I’ve just received this picture from a well wisher. The concern Department may kindly take necessary action. Or I will formally initiate a proper action.”

However, with the intervention of local public servants, the misunderstanding was clarified promptly, wherein the actual public toiled was situated on the top of the pan shop. The pan shop was constructed beneath the staircase of the public toilet.

In a video posted by the law minister, it was clarified by an individual in the video, that the inauguration inscription of the facility was placed where it is, due to lack of space.

The minister having the his doubt satisfied, immediately cleared the confusion and tweeted, “Misconception or misunderstanding has been cleared. Now I’m satisfied because people are using facilities.”
