NNN | IMPHAL, July 16: A volunteer of a community quarantine centre in Thoubal district of Manipur is among 64 fresh cases detected during testing of 1,427 samples in the last 24 hours, said a press release of the COVID-19 Common Control Room on Thursday.
Of them, 45 are males. Also among them, 33 are from Imphal West district, 11 from Senapati district, nine from Ukhrul district, five from Churachandpur, three from Tamenglong and one each from Kakching, Kamjong and Thoubal district, the press release further said.
During the same period, 49 persons were discharged after they were cured from the disease.
The cumulative number of positive cases in Manipur stands at 1764 on Thursday. Among them, 635 are active cases and 1129 recovered cases.
The recovery rate of the State is 64 percent, the press release further informed.
