Rashak Shirei is a story of Love and Passion for culinary Arts.

Like any other wonderful stories of go getter budding entrepreneur and the need to reinvent and reimagine, Rashak Shirei took shape during the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and the immediate lock down that followed.

The owner and proprietor, Ramungpam Machinao recalls that he quickly notice the need to preserve vegetables & foods as he could hardly go out. It was then, he says, that he realized how our kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, herbs, vegetables, spices and plenty of good things in the fridge.

The owner Ramungpam Machinao while speaking to Ukhrul Times said that Rashak Shirei is not just a product but an artwork as each creation of his products are crafted and imprinted with the love for traditional and the inborn knack for comfort of good food and good mood.

The term Rashak Shirei is a Tangkhul origin word meaning Food and drinks.

So we asked what is available in Rashak Shirei?

Right now my first batch includes, in no particular order, Kimchi, Chopsticks, Peanut Brittle, Wine, eco-friendly bag and customised mask and apron. Working on some few other products too but I’m just a one man army and its a new start for me. So, right now my focus in on minimum products with the best quality.

Ramungpam says, as millennials we work hard to live on our own terms and we’ve risen to the challenge of earning a living in this turbulent times. Moreover, I had long desired to create something that I wanted to use or own myself so the idea of Culinary Arts struck upon me gradually.

Go follow Rashak Shirei on Instagram and share the passion. DM on Instagram for products preorder.
