Agartala, Nov 27: In a development that could alter the political dynamics of North East India, leaders from Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Assam, Tripura, and Darjeeling gathered in Agartala on Wednesday for the ONE NORTH EAST THANSA (Unity) Rally, transforming a vision announced in New Delhi three weeks ago into a mass movement with thousands in attendance.
The rally at Astabal Ground marked the first public gathering of the newly united ONE NORTH EAST political entity, drawing an unprecedented turnout that emphasized the growing support for regional consolidation. The event follows the landmark press conference held on November 4, 2025, in New Delhi, where prominent regional leaders jointly announced their intention to form a single political platform to represent the collective aspirations of the Northeast.
