Noney: The Rongmei Naga Students Organization (RNSO) of Manipur has strongly condemned the alleged inaction of the Manipur Police following a robbery incident involving KP Naman, reportedly perpetrated by members of Arambai Tenggol.

The incident occurred in April near Naoremthong in Imphal West District. KP Naman was robbed of his Toyota Fortuner, Rs. 13 lakh in cash, and his mobile phone by ten individuals who allegedly identified themselves as members of the Arambai Tenggol group.

During a press conference held in Noney on Wednesday, RNSO President Daichui Gangmei criticized the police for their apparent failure to act on the complaint lodged at Noney Police Station. He also highlighted the ongoing harassment faced by Rongmei people along National Highway 37 and in the valley from both warring communities in Manipur.

Daichui Gangmei demanded the return of the stolen items by September 15, warning that any further repercussions would not be the responsibility of RNSO or the victim’s family. The press conference was attended by leaders of the Rongmei Naga Youth Organization Manipur, the victim KP Naman, and his family members.
