Roadside Tree Plantation by Raizan Long

Ukhrul: A mass roadside tree plantation was conducted from Kamjong Headquarters to Huimin Thana and Kangpat Village on Saturday.

Organized by Raizan Long in collaboration with the Forest Department, Kamjong Division, the program was sponsored by Raizan Traders Association.

Covering approximately 45 km, the plantation involved local villagers planting various fruit-bearing and ornamental trees. The 8 Assam Rifles provided refreshments in support of the initiative.

Raizan Long Phungva, in a meeting held on July 30, 2024, vide Resolution No. 1, appealed to the public to temporarily refrain from traveling to border villages such as Aloyo Choro, Skipe, Pilong, and Huimine Thana due to prevailing situations.
