Sandesh Jhingan wins Arjuna Awards

Former Kerala Blasters defender and Indian International Sandesh Jhingan was conferred the Arjuna Awards on Friday by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs.

The defender was one of the three footballers recommended by the AIFF to the government of India for the prestigious award given to honour excellence in sports. The other two being Indian Women international and Rangers FC (Scotland) forward N Bala and Jeje Lalpekhlua from Mizoram (Indian International and Chennaiyin FC striker).

Sandesh Jhingan became the 27th footballer to win the award.
