Manipur: Senapati DCC hosts Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan

SENAPATI: All India Congress Committee (AICC) Project Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan (SSA) aimed to rejuvenate the party at the grassroots level and particularly to democratically install Presidents of the District Congress Committee (DCC) was hosted by the Senapati DCC at Mao-Poumai Catholic Women’s Hall Senapati on Wednesday.

AICC observer for Senapati and Ukhrul district, HS Lucky, President, Chandigarh PCC presided over the meeting. In his address, he emphasized the need to re-construct the party organization from the Block Congress Committee (BCC) and especially the DCC. The focus of the mission is to make sure that the District President is elected in a very fair and transparent process and invited any person from any block, intending to serve as the District President to take the prescribed form and submit to him.

During the interaction hour, some of the points highlighted the need for a permanent office infrastructure of the District Congress Committee and requested to initiate the process. Second point was proposed to initiate the need to have a fund raising strategy for the party. Next point was discussed on the need for the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) to be more aware and sensitive to the perception and concerns of the public of the district in the prevailing social environment with different narratives.

The meeting was attended by the observers and Mahila secretary of the MPCC, the DCC executive members and the Block Congress Committee (BCC) executive members of the three BCCs of 47-Karong AC, 48-Mao AC and 49-Tadubi AC and other Congress workers.
