UKHRUL: The Coordinating Conference and Group Distribution Ceremony for the 5th Edition Lt Col (Late) Robert TA Open Football Tournament – “Robert Cup” was successfully held under the aegis of Assam Rifles, the Sentinels of the North East. The event reaffirmed the Force’s continued commitment to youth empowerment, promotion of sportsmanship, and strengthening civil–military cooperation in the region.
The draw of lots was conducted in a transparent and systematic manner in the presence of members of the organising committee and team officials, ensuring fairness and strict adherence to tournament guidelines. The tournament is scheduled to be held from February 5 to February 23 at the Senapati Football Turf Ground.
The teams have been placed into the following groups: Group A-Manipur Gorkha FC, POU Legend FC, Northeast Footprint Club Kuki Raising FC, F4C A
Group B-Broke Boys FC, DRB Gorkha FC, Hills Academy, Muvanlai FC, Taphou Kuki FC
Group C-Sadar Hill FA, Senapati FC, Sadar Hill (R)
Mayankhang FC
Group D-Young Eleven Star FC, Hills Academy FA, KOM United FC, Kuki Rising FA, Twilang Area Sports Association.

All participating teams were briefed on match schedules, discipline, and the importance of fair play. Assam Rifles reiterated that the Robert Cup continues to serve as a platform for nurturing local football talent, fostering unity, and honouring the legacy of Lt Col (Late) Robert TA.
