Shillong Press Club mourns demise of senior journalist Rajoo Sharma

The Shillong Press Club in an emergent meeting held today condoled the sudden demise of senior journalist and treasurer of the club Rajoo Sharma.

Bah Rajoo, as he was fondly known to all, passed away at Woodland Hospital today after a brief period of illness. He leaves behind his bereaved wife, son and grandson and a host of loved ones.

Bah Rajoo will be remembered for his ever-endearing demeanour and humility throughout his life. Always available to lend a hand to fellow comrades and people, he never shirked from any responsibility entrusted to him and would always fulfill his commitment.

According to the condolence message of the press club, Bah Rajoo was a guiding light to a lot of the journalists who are now well entrenched in their careers. His quiet motivational skills have gone a long way in shaping them into good journalists.

“His death leaves a void which is unfathomable as to who can refill it again. We pray for his soul to rest in everlasting peace and that God Almighty will grant his bereaved family and loved ones solace to bear these dark moments,” the SPC said in its condolence message.
