The six ex-ADC members of Manipur have opposed Manipur government intent to go ahead with the recruitment process for appointment to various posts under the six Autonomous District Councils during the absence of the elected ADCs in the hills.
The six ADCs Committee has also chided the state government for failure to table the ADC Bill, 2021.
The ex-ADC member in its meeting adopted various resolutions after a thread bare discussions and deliberations.
The House takes serious note of the state government’s plan to go ahead with the recruitment process for appointment to various posts under the Six ADCs during the absence of elected ADCs governance min the hills.
It also resolved to urged the state government to halt the recruitment process for appointment to various posts until the elected ADCs are installed in the 6(six) ADCs.
The meeting in the meantime had urged the state government not to go ahead with the said recruitment process, cautioning that it will launch various measures as deemed fit to uphold the dignity of the ADCs.
The general meeting also unanimously expressed its strong resentment towards the Manipur state government for its refusal to table the ADC Bill, 2021 in the last Assembly session.
It also resolved to fully support any kinds of movements launched by ATSUM and other hill-based CSOs until the ADC Bill, 2021 is tabled and passed in Manipur Legislative Assembly.
While strongly condemning the arbitrary actions of the speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly in inducting 8 valley MLAs to HAC, which is allegedly unconstitutional, the House also urged the state government not to animate such unconstitutional moves in the future.
These decisions were adopted during the general body meeting of All Manipur Hill Districts Ex-ADC Members (5th Term ADC Members) held on September 13 at Council House, Chingmeirong, Imphal under the banner of Six ADCs Co-ordination Committee, Manipur.
