Reliable sources said villagers had already vacated the area amid the ongoing conflict. Police personnel stationed in the village had also reportedly withdrawn from their outpost before the Pilong incident.

Skipe is located approximately 4 km from Pilong, where violence was reported earlier amid escalating tensions in the region.

Local villagers said the area’s MLA, Leishiyo Keishing, had assured them that Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB) personnel would be deployed in Skipe. However, the personnel are currently stationed at Kangpat Khunou, approximately 11 km from the village, according to the villagers.
