Ukhrul: In what was a moment of triumph and jubilation for the Manipur state and the Tangkhul community, Solimla Jajo and Solan Jajo who represented team India in the prestigious Miss Asia in both junior and senior women model physique competitions 2022 event, have been awarded silver medal and 4th position in the same category.
The event was held on Monday at Cross Road, Maldives.
It is worth mentioning that Solimla Jajo was the champion of Miss Manipur Model Physique 2019 in open category and stood 5th place in Federation Cup 2020, while Solan Jajo participated in Junior Miss India in 2022.
Adding more feathers in their professional caps, Solimla now has won silver medal in the 54th edition of Miss Asia Women Model Physique (continent competitions) and so did Solan Jajo, adjudged 4th position in the same category, thanks to their commitment fired by “never give up” attitude and support by the ace trainer Robert Meitei and his Royal Gymnasium, Ukhrul which is part of Body Builders Association of Ukhrul District (BBAUD), a parental body of Ukhrul district in their pursuits.
The duo were trained by the renowned bodybuilder and International medallist, L Robert Meitei, who is also the principal of Ukhrul Central School (UCS) at Royal Gymnasium located at Phungreitang in Ukhrul headquarters.

So far, Royal Gymnasium has produced 3 international athletes from Moreh and 3 international athletes from Ukhrul.
The 54th Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Competition is hosted by the Bodybuilding Association of Maldives and sanctioned by the World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Federation.
It is supported by the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment, Republic of Maldives in collaboration with the Maldives Olympic Committee.
Solimla and Solan completed their class XII from Sacred Heart Hr Sec School and Alice Christian Hr Sec School, Ukhrul respectively and both have passed out in 2nd division.
Solan hails from Leishi village while Solimla is from Kasom Khullen in Manipur’s Kamjong district.
Somipam Vashum, president, Raphei Katamnao Long his expressed his heartfelt congratulations to both of them, and added that “The RKL is overwhelmed for lifting the image of the state and and the community and wish them brighter and greater achievements in their future endeavours.”
The competition which kicked off on July 15 will end on July 21.
