SP Lowry Elected New TNZL Chairman

UKHRUL, NOV 28: SP Lowry of Langli village has been elected as the new Chairman of the Tangkhul Naga Zingsho Longphang (TNZL).

The mid-term poll was conducted on November 26 during a public meeting convened by the Election Commission of the Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL) at the TNL conference hall. SP Lowry was elected in a two-cornered contest against Ngamrei Makung.

The post fell vacant after former TNZL Chairman AS Nathan resigned in September, followed by the resignation of the Vice-Chairman in October. Consequently, Khayao Hungyo has been elected as the new Vice-Chairman.

In a separate development, Shangreiso Khodang was elected unopposed as the Deputy Speaker on November 27, 2025.
