State Level Open Wrestling Championship 2025 to Begin from April 29 at Senapati; Applications Invited

Senapati, April 4: The Manipur State Level Open Wrestling Championship 2025 is all set to take place at Senapati district headquarters, starting from April 29. The event will be organized by the Senapati District Wrestling Association, Manipur (SDWAM), and will feature wrestlers in four different categories: above 70 kg, below 70 kg, 14–15 years, and 16–17 years.

According to information received from the office of the Senapati District Wrestling Association, the association expressed happiness in announcing the dates of the championship and invited young wrestlers from across Manipur to participate in this prestigious event.

A cash prize of ₹1 lakh each will be awarded to the champions in the open categories (above 70 kg and below 70 kg), and ₹70,000 will be awarded to the runners-up.

Consolation prizes, including cash, certificates, and medals, will be given to the two semi-finalists in each open category.

For the age group categories (14–15 years and 16–17 years), the champions will receive ₹30,000, while the runners-up will receive ₹20,000.

The championship will run from 29th April to 2nd May 2025.

The SDWAM office also informed that application forms will be available from 10th April 2025, and the last date for submission is 26th April 2025.
