Supreme Court Orders CBI probe into Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case

UT News Service | Aug 19: The Supreme Court on Wednesday ordered CBI investigation into the death of Sushant Singh Rajput’s rejecting actor Rhea Chakraborty’s petition to transfer the FIR registered by his family in Patna to Mumbai. Sushant Singh Rajput, 34, was found dead in his Mumbai apartment on June 14.

Shweta Singh Kirti, Sushant Singh’s sister welcomed the verdict and took to three quick tweets.

“There we go!! Finally!! CBI for SSR!! #CBITakesOver

“Thank you God! You have answered our prayers!! But it is just the beginning… the first step towards the truth! Full faith on CBI!!”

The court in its order observed that the FIR registered at Patna on the complaint filed by Rajput’s father was correct. The court added that the Bihar government had the right to refer the Patna FIR lodged by Rajput’s father to CBI.

The Supreme Court verdict comes as a victory for all of Sushant Singh Rajput’s millions of fans.
