Tamenglong’s Rachel Panmei bagged Winner’s Title in State Level Online Singing Competition

Out of over 40 contestants in the first audition, 25 best singers were selected. Top 10 finalist were then selected to contest in the final round. Rachel topped the list by scoring 90.76 point, while Grace scored 82.51 and Willson scored 75.69.

In a rare online State Level Singing Competition conducted by The Indigenous Foundation, Voice of Christmassia, Season 1, Rachel Panmei from Tamenglong District bags the Winner’s title. The competition 1st runner up went to Grace Thaimei and Willson Rangang took home the 2nd runner up.

Out of over 40 contestants in the first audition, 25 best singers were selected. Top 10 finalist were then selected to contest in the final round. Rachel topped the list by scoring 90.76 point, while Grace scored 82.51 and Willson scored 75.69.

During the grand finale cum closing ceremony held at MBC Imphal, MLA Leishiyo Keishing, Chairman HAC graced the function as the Chief Guest, Prof. S. Tikendra Singh, President BJP Manipur as Functional President while Pauline Kamson IAS, Ukhrul DC and Laishram Nandakumar Singh IAS, Director Education-S, State Project Director, Samagra Shiksha (SSA & RMSA) Manipur as Guests of Honours. MK Preshow Shimray, Ex-MLA, Former Deputy Speaker was the Chief Host in the program while Rev. Ngamlei Zimik, Pastor TBCI gave the Christmas Greetings.

Selection of contestant were done both by the Judges as well as online voting. James Riamei, Frontman GMP The Band & Founder of Godwill Music Project, Chonchon Varah, Singer & Songwriter and First Manipur International Rock Contest performer and Sochipem Kashak, Singer & Songwriter and Founder of Capital City Music Institute & Capital City Records, Delhi were the Judges of the Competition.

Winners of the competition were awarded with momento along with cash of Rs 30,000/- for the winner, Rs 20,000/- for 1st runner up and Rs 10,000/- for the 2nd runner up. The remaining top finalist were also rewarded with Rs 2000/- each as consolation prize.
