Tangkhul Frontal Orgs urges all to come forward with information to assist in bank robbery investigation

Ukhrul: The Tangkhul frontal organizations on Friday expressing its shock over the loot of over Rs. 18 crore from Punjab National Bank has vehemently condemned in the strongest term against the egregious incident of robbery in Manipur State’s Ukhrul town on Thursday.

The Tangkhul frontal civil bodies said the act of robbery is never part of Tangkhul Naga culture.

Terming the robbery as a brazen act, it said the act has shaken the fabric of the society.

Stating that such criminal actions would impede the growth and prosperity, the Tangkhul frontal organizations observed that “the robbery at Punjab National Bank is not just a monetary loss, but a blow to the stability and trust, affecting sense of security and confidence within our community beyond mere finances.”

The four Tangkhul frontal organisations namely, the Tangkhul Naga Wungnao Long, Tangkhul Shanao Long, Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong and Tangkhul Mayar Ngala Long also added that it support and stand united with the law enforcement authorities as they tirelessly work to bring the perpetrators to justice.

Urging all with information to come forward and assist in the investigation, calling upon each individual of the Tangkhul community to stand together to resist against such criminal activities, and reinforce the communities’ commitment to fostering a safe and prosperous environment for all, the four Tangkhul civil bodies also added that “safety and well-being of our citizens remain our utmost priority.”
