Ukhrul: Following the lockdown of the head office of the All Tribal Students’ Union Manipur (ATSUM) located at Adimjati Complex, Chingmeirong Imphal on August 5 for an indefinite period by a valley based organization, Meetei Leepun, the Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong (TKS), apex student body of the Tangkhul tribe has taken serious cognizance.

TKS calling the action of Meitei Leepun shocking for taking the law into their own hands, describes their action “A motivated attempt to communalize tribal issues.”

The release issued by the TKS on Saturday demands befitting criminal action against the said organization in accordance with law.
