Ukhrul: The Tangkhul Shanao Long has said it is “appalled to learn about the incidence that occurred on the 11 November 2024 at Borobekra Police station in Jiribam district, Manipur, where Internally Displaced Women and Children including minors were kidnapped from relief camp and brutally raped and murdered.”

The Tangkhul Shanao Long while strongly condemned what is described as “heinous and beastly act” said the “barbaric brutality inflicted upon helpless children and women is unimaginable.”
“We wish to remind whoever responsible for this horrendous act that Crime against Women and Children is a Crime against Humanity,” said TSL in a condemnation note issued on Saturday following the news report of all the six abducted brought to Silchar Medical College Hospital for autopsy.

Urging all women organizations to join hands in condemning the brutal killings of innocent children and women, voicing for protection of women and children anywhere, the Tangkhul Shanao Long said it “stands for peace.”
