The Unknown

What makes the heart keep beating,

And that too in rhythm so perfect?

Can anyone pause the blood flowing

Through the veins without any defect?

Have the wise men traced the origin

And the omega of time continuum?

Who can explain the rationale of vision,

With retina unique to each individuum?

Where were you before your birth,

And after death where will you be?

Why is ugly Beast full of mirth

When kissed by lovely Beauty?

Enigmas and mysteries abound this life,

Which Science knows how, but why,

Hard to fully know whatever the strife,

But they will be unravelled by and by.

For a misty mind, mundane and plain,

So designed to only know the known;

Yet a heart that’s prudent and not vain,

He who knows the Origin of the Unknown.
