The Voice of Tehillah (Praise) hosted its first Christmas carol 2020 album at Nagaram Imphal on November 22. The album is now released on YouTube on December 10, Thursday.
The Voice of Tehillah (TVT) carol album is a tribute to Ruichumhao Rungsung who was a deeply devoted servant of God and one of the first Christian converts among the Tangkhul Nagas, and among the tribes of Manipur.
The Christmas carol album is a gathering of Tangkhul gospel singers in praise and worship through melodious Tangkhul and English Christmas carol songs.
Ruichumhao was an instrumental leader for the strong 2000 Tangkhuls who went to France in the 1917 first world war under the Indian Labour Corps (ILC) for war services. Under his leadership and the fear of God in the man, most of the Tangkhul labour corps retruned home without heavy casualty. WWI as history recalls, was an eye opener for the the Tangkhul tribe in particular as it paved the way and emphasis on education, after much of what the Tagkhul Labour Corps saw in Europe and the modern world as they voyaged and travelled across half of the globe.
The Voice of Tehillah first Christmas carol service 2020 saw tremendous success. The service was sponsored by IK Muivah IPS, IGP, Manipur, and AR Mathing, Miss Manipur 2019 was the host.
