Ukhrul, October 17: The Federation of Haomee has extended a warm welcome to Thuingaleng Muivah, who is scheduled to visit his birthplace in Shongran (Somdal), Ukhrul District, on October 22, 2025.

The Federation described the homecoming as a “Home Sweet Home” moment, marking the return of a leader whose long journey in the struggle for freedom took him far from his roots, and added that the visit is expected to strengthen the unity and integrity of the native peoples of Manipur, fostering a greater sense of fraternity and mutual understanding within the state.

Members of the Federation of Haomee and the local community also expressed their excitement, noting that many who longed to meet Muivah in person have since passed away. The Federation said it hopes that this visit will fulfill their heartfelt wishes and said that the homecoming will also allow Th. Muivah to reconnect with his family, relatives, and community members, who are eagerly anticipating the opportunity to welcome him.

The Federation prayed for his continued good health and a long life, concluding with the salute: “Long Live Avakharar.”
