The Tangkhul Katamnao Long, Imphal said it is pleased to have separately felicitated Naga Atheletes.
TKLI interacted with Naga professional lawn tennis player Jennifer Luikham and Professional MMA Fighter Chungreng Koren on March 31, 2024.

Jennifer Luikham, an international lawn tennis player, is a Tangkhul Naga hailing from Hunphun Village and is the only player from North East India to have been ranked no.1 in All India Ranking in the Junior category. She recently secured two gold medals and one silver medal for team Manipur in the recently concluded Northeast Games 2024. Chungreng Koren is a Koireng Naga hailing from Kamu Koireng Village who was recently crowned MFN Interim Bantamweight Champion.

In the felicitation, TKLI acknowledged both the athletes for their achievements in their fields.

The struggles of being an athlete, physically, mentally and most importantly their financial struggles, especially being in individual sports was highlighted by them during our interaction.

The Tangkhul Katamnao Long, Imphal said it takes pride to witness Naga community excel in such fields, where most people in our country even struggle to set foot into.

AC Raising, Advisor TKLI, Pamreiso Raiping, Advisor TKLI and Dr. Thanshok Kamkara, Director, Tabitha Home, graced the felicitation programs and expressed words of encouragement for the athletes, and along with the TKLI have decided to assist both the athletes in all ways possible in their future endeavours.
