TKS issues notification on School Fees

The Tangkhul Katamnao Long (TKS) in a notification on August 5, endorsing the appeal made by the All Tribal Students Union Manipur (ATSUM) over cooperation by all schools within the jurisdiction of the apex Tangkhul Student’s Union laid down guidelines for educational institutions.

The two guidelines issued in the notification said that – 1. school admission fees for the new academic session (2021-2022) should be less than the normal rate. 2. Monthly fees from April 2021 until the resumption of physical classes should not be more than 50% of the existing structure.

TKS also drew the attention of Manipur government authorities to make necessary arrangements for students who cannot keep up with online classes.

In conclusion, it appealed the district law enforcement agencies to strictly monitor the increasing number of substance abuse among the youths in the district.
