UKHRUL: The Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL), the apex body representing the Tangkhul Nagas, along with its constituent Tangkhul civil societies, has announced a non-cooperation stance towards the Wung Tangkhul Region until justice is served. This declaration, made today, refers to their joint press statement from March 28, which called for the handover of the suspects involved in the Hongbei incident, where four personnel from the Naga Army were killed by NSCM-IM cadres.

The TNL stated that the non-cooperation declaration was issued following the failure to comply with their directive, that is, the handing over of the suspects —Athot from Sihai Khunou and Star from Lairam Khullen—to the TNL within 12 hours.

In related news, the Hungpung and Hungphun villages have condemned the reported arson and vandalism of private properties that occurred today at the Ukhrul headquarters.
