Shillong, June 30: Tourists are requested to avail themselves of the services of tourist guides while trekking in East Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya.

In a statement issued today, the Deputy Commissioner and Chairperson of the District Tourism Promotion Society (DTPS), East Khasi Hills district, informed the general public that, for safety reasons, it is mandatory for tourists to take the services of tourist guides while trekking to avoid any unfortunate incidents.
