Tripura: Draft Voter List Shows Over 1.38 Lakh in 4 ADC Seats

Agartala, Feb 27: More than 1.38 lakh voters are enrolled across four Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) constituencies as draft electoral rolls were released on Friday, with 7-Damcherra-Kachucherra emerging as the largest segment with 37,372 registered electors among the four seats for which lists were published.

The draft rolls were released for 5-Chawmanu, 6-Manu-Chailengta, 7-Damcherra-Kachucherra and 10-Kulai Champahour constituencies. Sub-Divisional Magistrate and ERO of Longtarai Valley, Subrata Das, released the lists for the first three constituencies at the sub-divisional office in Chailengta, while ERO and Sub-Divisional Magistrate Rinku Reang unveiled the roll for 10-Kulai Champahour at a press conference held at Ambassa sub-divisional office.

According to the published lists, 5-Chawmanu has a total of 33,494 voters, comprising 16,811 male and 16,683 female electors. The 6-Manu-Chailengta constituency has 33,030 voters, with 16,529 male and 16,501 female electors. The 7-Damcherra-Kachucherra seat has 37,372 voters, including 18,612 male and 18,760 female electors. The 10-Kulai Champahour constituency has 34,553 voters, with 17,210 male and 17,343 female electors.

Rinku Reang also announced that the final list of polling stations has already been published. Claims and objections on the draft rolls may be submitted until March 6, and will be resolved by March 10. The final voter list will be published on March 13.

The draft lists were handed over to representatives of political parties. ERO Rinku Riang also held a meeting with political party representatives following the press conference. AROs Dhananjay Chakma and Barnita Biswas were present at the event.
