Two associates of singer Zubeen Garg sent to judicial custody, Probe Continues

Guwahati, Oct 17 (SHABD): Two associates of late singer Zubeen Garg—Shekhar Jyoti Goswami and Amritprabha Mahanta—were sent to 14 day judicial custody by the CJM court, Kamrup (Metro), on Friday.

The CID produced the duo before the court amid tight security after the end of their custody period. Both were reportedly in Singapore at the time of the singer’s death. Earlier, five other accused, including Shyamkanu Mahanta, Siddhartha Sharma, and Sandipan Garg, were sent to Baksa district jail.

The probe into Zubeen Garg’s death continues as two more were called by the CID for further investigation. Musician Diganta Bharati and owner of Hotel Gateway Grandeur Mrigank Hazarika arrived at the CID office today in Guwahati, Assam. Notably Hazarika, was in Singapore at the time of the singer’s death.
