Tamenglong: The Liangmai Literature Society, Manipur (LLSM) organised a “two-day intensive workshop on Liangmai spelling system” cum “one-day folk tales telling” at Tamei headquarters in Tamenglong district from May 26 to May 28.

Resource persons of the event were Dr Hunibou Newmai, Rev Z Mairilungbou, Dr Wichamdinbou Mataina and Dr Kailadbou Daimai, according to the LLSM.

The participants discussed issues related to spelling, tone marker and many other things including vowels, consonants and Liangmai writing system, the LLSM added.

About 400 people including students participated in the programme.
