Ukhrul Police Seize and Destroy 40 Litres of Illegal Liquor

Ukhrul: Ukhrul Police have said that it conducted a frisking and checking operation at the Jail Road check post on Thursday morning, under the orders of the Superintendent of Police.

The operation, led by Inspector Chuingam Ningshen, resulted in the seizure of 40 litres of DIC liquor (local brew wine) and one aluminum pot used for brewing, said Ukhrul Police.

According to Ukhrul Police, acting on specific instructions, it confiscated the illegal items and destroyed them on the spot in the presence of the owner. The aluminum pot was then returned to the owner after issuing a stern warning.

Inspector Ningshen emphasized the importance of this action, stating, “By doing this, we are working towards a better future for our society, aiming to create a peaceful community.”
