UNLF Cadre Arrested in Moirang Kampu Murder Case

Ukhrul, Feb 25: In a swift operation, the Imphal East Police on Monday arrested a UNLF cadre in connection with the brutal daylight murder of a youth in Moirang Kampu.

According to the Manipur Police report, the police acting on information from a diligent citizen arrested the UNLF cadre identified as Thangjam Thoungamba Meitei (26) s/o Th. Sunil Meitei of Tiger Camp, Sagolmang, Imphal East. He was allegedly involved in the daylight cold-blooded murder of 19-year-old youth Laishram Malemnganba Metei of Moirang Kampu, Imphal East. The victim was found murdered on 10th February 2025 at Moirang Kampu.

Further raids are underway to arrest other suspects linked to the case. Police have assured continued efforts to bring all perpetrators to justice.
