Special Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya (PMJAY) and Chief Ministergi Hakshelgi Tengbang (CMHT) Enrolment Drive was held at Saramba ADC Circle, Tousem Sub-Division, Tamenglong District, Manipur. Over a week long program was conducted under the sponsorship of Social worker Appolos T. Panmei in collaboration with State Health Agency, Govt. of Manipur.
During the enrollment program, team consisted of 2 Staffs from Directorate of Health & Service with PMJAY District Cordinator and one Staff from District Hospital Tamenglong covered 9 villages in the area except Vanchengphai village as chairman and secretary of village authority were currently out of station.
The team enrolled 545 beneficiaries in PMJAY and 16 beneficiaries in CMHT.
It’s reported that Enrollment team faced lots of hardship in addition to bad transportation and proper electricity. Due to poor and unavailability of mobile network, the team had to go around the village in search of network connection which created hindrance to smooth operation of work.
Meanwhile the people of that area has demanded the govt to install mobile telecommunication tower at suitable places at the earliest possible time. The program that started from April 5 was concluded on April 13.
