Winter Essentials Distributed to IDPs in Imphal East

Imphal, October 30: Continuing its humanitarian outreach, the District Administration of Imphal East on Thursday distributed winter essentials, nutritional items, stationery, and other household supplies to internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the district.

Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) of Keirao Bitra, Laishram Roshan, led the distribution of multipurpose jumbo boxes to 403 IDPs staying at Urup OBC Girls Hostel Relief Camp, Yambem Girls Hostel Relief Camp, Temporary Shelter Home Yambem Mathak, and Andro Laopaochum Relief Camp. The programme was also attended by Sub-Deputy Collector Tulihal, Irom Nirmal Singh.

Under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Dr. Nivedita Lairenlakpam, the District Administration has been carrying out similar distributions across all relief camps in Imphal East as part of the Ningol Chakkouba celebration, sharing warmth and goodwill with displaced families.

The IDPs expressed gratitude to the Deputy Commissioner and her team for their continued support and thoughtful initiative.
