CHANDEL: Wisecrabs successfully organised the seventh edition of InQuiztive, the All Chandel Inter-School Competition, at the Town Hall, Panchai, Chandel, on Friday, with 670 students representing 13 schools across the district participating in the annual event.
Launched in 2018, InQuiztive is an initiative of Wisecrabs aimed at promoting intellectual growth, creativity, critical thinking and healthy competition among school students.
The opening ceremony was graced by Shri Dharmendra Kumar Tyagi, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Chandel, while Col. Atul Parashar, Commanding Officer of 10 Assam Rifles, attended the closing ceremony as Chief Guest.
HL Lovingson, a special contractor, and Hb Ruwnghnem, retired Associate Professor of United College, Lambung, Chandel, attended as Guests of Honour. Diksha Langthasa, IPS, Additional Superintendent of Police, Chandel, and Dr Y. Aarushi Devi of Jivan Hospital, Kakching, were the Special Guests.

The competitions featured a panel of distinguished judges from diverse professional backgrounds. Lt. Col. Adith, 2IC, 10 Assam Rifles, and Dr Angpong Augustine Roel of United College, Lambung, adjudicated the elocution competition. The debate competition was judged by Kh Jacky Lucy, Deputy Chief, Legal Aid Defence Counsel, Chandel, and Sk Dominic Bepol, Assistant Professor, United College, Chandel.
The drawing competition was adjudicated by Mrs Joynie Ruwngtol, a professional make-up artist, and Mayengbam Kirankumar, Art Teacher at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Chandel.
The opening ceremony featured a choreography performance by students of Japhou Upper Primary School, while students of Little Pearls School, Chakpikarong, presented a special song during the closing ceremony.
The participation of students from 13 schools highlighted the growing interest in academic and co-curricular activities in the district. The event provided a platform for young learners to showcase their talents, exchange ideas and develop confidence through constructive competition.
Through InQuiztive, Wisecrabs continues to encourage a culture of learning, curiosity and intellectual engagement among the younger generation of Chandel district. The prizes for the 7th edition of InQuiztive 2026 were sponsored by Dr Angshim Dangshawa, IAS, DC Tamenglong; Chandel District Police; Modi Battalion, 10 AR; Hb Shunghring Anal; Jivan Hospital, Kakching; Eden Book-Café and Sello’s Pickles.
