The National Socialist Women’s Organization of Nagalim (NSWON), the women wing of the NSCN-IM, organized a “healthy interactive programme” on Tuesday at the Tatar Hoho Hall, Hebron, with the women leaders (representatives) of the neighbouring/surrounding villages of Camp Hebron as a part of their relationship building measure and to spread awareness on the ongoing Indo-Naga political talks.

V. Horam, Executive Member of the Steering Committee, NSCN-IM, attended the programme as the speaker who enlightened the women leaders and participants on the ongoing Indo-Naga peace process with special reference to the Framework Agreement and the competencies and on women empowerment, according to a press statement issued by Hosheli Achumi, the chairperson of NSWON (NSCN-IM).

“Questions and confusions raised by the participants were promptly answered and cleared by the speaker,” said the statement, adding, “Mrs. Eustar Chishi Swu, the only woman member of the Collective Leadership and one of the senior most women members of NSCN also spoke on the occasion”.

The interaction program was moderated by Maj. (Retd.) R. Khamrang, MSM, the Vice Chairperson of NSWON and the vote of thanks was delivered by the Chairperson of NSWON.

It then said a feast of love and unity was partaken together at the NSWON office premises after the interaction program. Mrs Achumi expressed her heartfelt gratitude to each and every women member from the neighbouring villages and women members of NSCN in Camp Hebron besides other participants for the cooperation extended to the NSWON.
