WTR Adopts Resolution to Preserve Wildlife, Control influx of Non-Nagas

Ukhrul, March 25, 2025: The Ministry of Information and Publicity, NSCN/GPRN said on Tuesday that the Wung Tangkhul Region held its Leacy Hoho Session on March 7, 2025, and adopted two important resolutions.

The first resolution the MIP said was the passing of law to preserve wildlife. To this endeavor, the NSCN invited all Tangkhul civil society organizations in order to come out with the best workable law to protect and preserve the wild life in WTR.

Secondly, “To control increasing work force of non-Nagas in WTR. This necessitated not issuing new Work-Permit. However, the permit holder would get their Work-Permit renewed if so desire,” NSCN added.
