WTR Destroyed Heroin, Opium, Drugs, and Liquor

Ukhrul, April 3: The Wung Tangkhul Region (WTR) seized and destroyed heroin, raw opium, liquor, and drugs on Thursday at its office compound at Ukhrul Headquarters.

The destroyed items included 2 kilograms of raw opium, heroin packed in a container, 10 cases of beer, 8 cases of IMFL, and drugs such as Cyclotas, Diazepam, and Alprazolam.

The above items were destroyed in the presence of the media at the office compound of WTR, Ukhrul Headquarters.

The CAO of WTR, Samson Jajo, informed that the jurisdiction within the Wung Tangkhul Region will remain a dry area and that the drive against illegal narcotic trade will continue. He appealed to the populace of the Wung Region to extend their cooperation in the fight against the illegal sale of drugs.

Strict actions have been taken against those involved in drug peddling. Still, many people continue to engage in such illegal activities. The WTR will continue its endeavor against this nuisance.
