Wungchipem Mahung Elected President of THYSO

UKHRUL: Wungchipem Mahung was unanimously elected President of the Thawaijao Hungpung Young Student’s Organization (THYSO) for the 2026–2027 tenure.

The election was held on Monday at Ilongshim, Hungpung, marking a new chapter for the village’s apex student body.

The unanimous outcome pointed to a strong consensus among members and their collective confidence in Mahung’s leadership to steer the organization in addressing the aspirations and challenges of the student community.

He succeeds outgoing president Hubert Lunghar, who successfully completed his term at the helm of the organization.
