YM Yollow Konyak sworn in as cabinet minister

Kohima: Naga People’s Front legislator, Y.M. Yollow Konyak was sworn-in as cabinet minister at Dr. Imkongliba Ao Hall, Raj Bhavan, Kohima on Wednesday.

‘Oath of office and Secrecy’ was administered to Y.M. Yollow Konyak by the Governor of Assam and Nagaland, Prof. Jagdish Mukhi in the presence of the chief minister, Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio, cabinet ministers and advisors, chairman United Democratic Alliance (UDA), T.R. Zeliang, MLAs, bureaucrats and officials from various departments.

The swearing-in ceremony was conducted by the chief secretary of Nagaland, J. Alam, IAS.

It may be mentioned that Nagaland State witnessed a major political development on Tuesday where the NPF legislature party leader, T R Zeliang was elected as the UDA’s new chairman, with another NPF MLA due to be appointed as the cabinet minister today.
