UKHRUL: Yumnam Khemchand was sworn in as the new Chief Minister of Manipur on Tuesday. Along with him, four others were administered the oath of office and secrecy.

Those who took oath after Khemchand include Nemcha Kipgen, Losii Dikho, Govindas Konthoujam, and Khuraijam Loken of Wangoi Assembly Constituency. Khuraijam Loken is an MLA of the National People’s Party (NPP).

The swearing-in marks the return of an elected government in Manipur after a prolonged period under President’s Rule.
